Portfolio website for RCA tutor and sculptor
Denise de Cordova is a tutor at the Royal College of Art and a practicing sculptor. She needed a portfolio website that elegantly showcased her exhibition work, artwork series, and academic background — creating a calm, gallery-like digital presence that matched the quality of her physical work.
Denise needed a website that felt as refined as her sculptural work — minimal, spacious, and focused on the imagery. The information architecture needed to surface her exhibitions, artwork series, and academic work clearly, without visual clutter.
The brand identity draws directly from Denise's sculptural practice — restrained, considered, and tactile. A refined typographic system and muted palette ensure the site feels like an extension of her physical work rather than a separate digital layer.
I created a clean, gallery-style layout with generous whitespace and full-bleed photography. Typography was kept restrained — a single serif for headings and a neutral sans-serif for body text — so the artwork remained the hero.
The final website includes an exhibition archive, artwork gallery with filtering by series, a biography section, and a contact page. The mobile experience mirrors the desktop layout, maintaining the gallery aesthetic across devices.
